The Columbia River Gorge

Living in the Columbia River Gorge is undeniably a noticeable benefit of working at Sagetech Corporation.  Your commute will include picturesque views of the Gorge, Mt Hood and Mt Adams all while breathing in fresh mountain air.

Summer – brings full-on sunshine and wind-perfect for a myriad of outdoor sports and activities like kiteboarding, stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing, fishing, boating, sailing, and more.

Autumn in the Gorge is a splendor of color, with bountiful harvests from the orchards in the valley-an ideal time to come enjoy the Fruit Loop and local wineries.

Winter is mild with plenty of snowfall up at Mt. Hood. Within a thirty minute drive you can experience downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, and other outdoor sports in snow.

Spring time is blossom time in the Gorge. More than 14,000 acres of commercial pear, apple, cherry, and peach orchards provide miles of scenic beauty. Fruit grown here is of such exceptional quality. Hood River county leads the world in Anjou pear production, as well as 50% of the nation’s winter pear crop. The local “Fruit Loop” is a favorite with visitors and locals alike.
