Transponder Configurations
The Sagetech XP family of transponders are available in two configurations and have an integrated altitude encoder, which is compliant to FAA TSO C88b up to 50,000 feet. The flight computer can read altitude data from the transponder providing backup altitude information. With any Sagetech transponder there is no need to buy and mount a separate altitude encoder.

Flight Computer Configuration
The multi-function display (MFD) or flight computer controls the transponder via a serial interface. Plug-and-play compatible with many standard flight computers, this configuration minimizes the system footprint of the transponder.

Conventional Configuration
Uses a small 2 ΒΌ inch user interface to provide pilot control of the transponder mode and squawk code in applications where manual control is required. USB interface provides ADS-B In data. User Interface Module is still in Development.
